Max 8 pupils per class / Duration 45 minutes
400 Gold is the final class in the 400 Gold Program and graduating from this class is what all our swimmers have been striving for. Swimmers will continue to work on refining their technique in freestyle, backstroke and breaststroke and will also be introduced to butterfly and turns, as well as improving dive starts to be ready for competition in these swimming lessons.
In addition to swimming all the strokes, swimmers learn the swimming ‘rules of the road,’ how to swim in larger groups, and how swimming can improve general health and all-round fitness. Swimmers in the 400 Gold Class are also invited to attend monthly time trials, called Super Swims, and to also represent their Swim School at the State Swim Interschool Swimming Carnival, held every 6 months at HBF stadium.
To graduate from this class and the State Swim 400 Gold Program, swimmers must display good technique in all strokes and skills as well as performing a 400 metre freestyle swim non-stop in State Swim style. Swimmers will then be eligible to join the State Swim Health and Sport Program, State Swim’s Squad Training Program.
