Become a State Swim Instructor

State Swim is the largest indoor swimming school network in Australia and we are looking for swimming instructors to teach children and adults the vital skills of swimming. We want friendly and outgoing people who love the water and want to help children and adults learn to swim.

Flexible Hours

We offer employees varying shift times, allowing you to balance State Swim with school, another job, or family life. You can work as little as 4 hours per week or as many as 20-30 hours per week.


You will require a current Water Safety Instructor, Swim Australia or AUSTSWIM accreditation to work as an instructor with State Swim along with Working With Children Check and CPR certificate. As of 1st January 2015, all people participating in a nationally recognised course must obtain a Unique Student Identifier (details on the downloadable document below).
