Meet the Operations Manager of State Swim Caroline Springs!
Mitch is the Operations Manager at Caroline Springs. He took some time from her busy schedule to answer a few questions:
1) When did you start working for State Swim?
I started in February 2009, shortly after finishing year 12.
2) Proudest moment at State Swim?
Definitely having your squad kids return and successfully contribute to the next group of children coming through our program.
3) Favourite swimming related memory?
Making it to MSAC in my last year of high school swimming. Qualified for the 200 IM and managed to get an extra day out of school because of it.
4) Why State Swim?
The program makes complete sense to me. The progression has the correct sized steps and challenges along the way, and the training is second to none.
5) Three words to describe your job?
Dynamic, rewarding and worthwhile.
6) Something not many people know about you?
I have spent the last two Australian winters in America, teaching children at a summer camp how to swim. I've also travelled to China with a previous job, working with the factories as part of a clothing import business.
7) Who would you like to be for a day?
Luke Skywalker. Jedi knight, top notch pilot and all round good guy.
